Une bonne résolution musicale
Bill Evans (1929-1980) was an American jazz pianist considered one of the greatest innovators of the genre. He began playing the piano at the age of six and studied classical music before turning to jazz.
Evans has worked with jazz legends such as Miles Davis, John Coltrane and Cannonball Adderley and has participated in the recording of several classical albums. He is best known for his lyrical and introspective approach to jazz, characterised by his use of harmony and texture.
His compositions have been influenced by classical music, notably Debussy and Ravel, as well as by jazz musicians such as Bud Powell. Evans won several Grammy Awards during his career and was inducted into the National Endowment for the Arts Jazz Masters in 1980, shortly before his death from a drug overdose.
