David Gilmour, born 6 March 1946 in England, is a world-renowned guitarist, singer and songwriter, famous for his role in Pink Floyd. Joining the band in 1968, Gilmour became a mainstay of Pink Floyd after the departure of Syd Barrett.
His expressive guitar playing and songwriting skills were essential in the creation of iconic albums such as “The Dark Side of The Moon” and “Wish You Were Here”.
