Born on 2 April 1938, Declan Mulligan is an Irish musician best known for his role as guitarist, bassist and harmonica player in the band The Beau Brummels.
He joined the band in 1964 and was an essential part of the original line-up that produced the hits “Laugh, Laugh” and “Just a Little”. His musical influence helped establish the band’s distinctive style, fusing American folk rock with British pop.
However, Mulligan left the band in 1965, before the release of their second album. Despite his relatively short stint with The Beau Brummels, Mulligan’s impact on their sound and on rock music in the 1960s remains notable.
