Felix Cavaliere, born on 29 November 1942 in Pelham, New York, is an American singer, songwriter and musician best known as a founding member and driving force behind The Young Rascals.
Cavaliere, with his distinctive tenor voice, and skill on the Hammond organ, helped create some of the band’s most memorable hits of the 1960s, including “Good Lovin'”, “Groovin'”, and “People Got to Be Free”.
After the group disbanded, Cavaliere pursued a solo career, continuing to explore the blend of pop, soul and rock that characterised the Rascals’ sound. Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997 with The Rascals.
