A good musical resolution
Pink Anderson, born on 12 February 1900 in South Carolina and died on 12 October 1974, was an American blues singer and guitarist. He began his career playing in traveling medicine shows, a type of entertainment popular in rural areas of the American South in the early 20th century.
He went on to record several songs in the 1920s and 1930s. Although he had a low-key career, his influence crossed the Atlantic when Syd Barrett, a founding member of Pink Floyd, chose to name the band after Pink Anderson and Floyd Council, two blues musicians he admired. So, despite his death in 1974, Pink Anderson’s legacy lives on in the name Pink Floyd.
